ZAFES Mitglied Prof. Zielen leitet Phase I-III Studien zur Optimierung diagnostischer Verfahren, neuer Therapien und Prävention von atopischen Erkrankungen. In enger Kooperation mit der Industrie wurden hierfür ein Allergen,- sowie ein LPS-Provokationsmodell etabliert, um inflammatorische und oxidative Reaktionen zu untersuchen und neue Präparate (ungesättigte Fettsäuren, Probiotika, Autovaccine etc.) für Interventionstherapien zu testen.
